There are a few solutions around if you cant read your NAND due to bad flash.

One of them is a 5v mod where you connect a 5v power source to a specific capacitor thus getting power to NAND and hopefully reading it:

I have been searching the net for a similar solution for Slim consoles but couldn't find one. So I had to come up with one myself, and here it is:

Near NAND chip there are two resistor pads. Connect an external 5v power source to the pad on the right and a wire to GND. Thats going to power NAND, J2C1 and J2C3 enabling to read/write nand.

and have been checking whether something like this possible?
Yes it is possible to read NAND with this method. But it doesn't always work if you are trying to recover from a bad flash. It is worth a try, and it will not damage anything.

Are you not able to read your NAND the regular way?

YES
Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean.

IF you can read your nand with your SPI flasher, then you should not attempt this.

What is your problem excactly?

Okay, so you can not read nand.

You have to find out if there is standby power in your console.

Plug in power supply and measure resistor pad R1D5 with a multimeter. It should read 3.3v.

Try that first and let me know

Your picture is not good enough. I need a really close up picture.

I think you should remove all your wiring except for the wires needed for reading nand.

Hi,
I have the same problem - I have a copy of the NAND dash (13,599), but I did update the original dash 13604 - I did not built a new copy and freestyle at the 13599th Unfortunately, the console is not working (error 1022).
How do I edit the original NAND (13,599) to match 6BL / 7bl Path 1?
(sorry my english)
