Hi all,

In my first attempt to update the dashboard to 14699, I made a rookie mistake. I didn't back up the current flash and use that as input for xeBuild, but I used my clean NAND dump.

I'm assuming I did not have the correct SMC stuff (still don't know what it's for, what it does and how you get it, so an explanation would be great, as I could not find it anywhere), so the file I flashed resulted in a blank screen, green power light and nothing else.

I also tried booting Xell by holding Eject when booting, but that didn't seem to work, as I don't get a screen and there's no activity on my USB disk with a new flash update (it's supposed to update it automatically when Xell runs, if I understand correctly.

I'm wondering if there's anything else, except for reflashing my chip with a hardware flasher, that I can do at this point? Any help is welcome. Thanks

Here's the output of my xeBuildGUI run:

boot with the eject button - you don't hold the eject button during power on.

Try with an AV cable and not HDMI.
Thanks for the quick reply, Martin.

I boot it with eject and it still doesn't give me a picture (with the normal AV cable).

Does it matter much if my DVD drive doesn't close? I've had this for a while now and it didn't seem to do any harm (if I close it, the power LED blinks, but it doesn't close, and it didn't close from the dash either).
