bad flash

Hello, I have a 1.6 xbox and I flashed it with the 1959 bios but it was for versions 1.0-1.5 through http. Now it works fine normally like it should unmodded. I am not able to reflash it now though. I either get the normal MS boot or I get flashing green and red when I try to backup. Any ideas on what I can do to get my flashbios back? It was 3.0.1.

Hold down the power and ejet buttons to boot up to backup.

then flash with the correct bios "X3_1959_v16plus.bin"

it still doesn't do anything for me it just shuts off and on a couple times and then nothing, no flashbios just green on the eject and it is blue on the front x but no flash bios. any ideas if I'm being lame or is it screwed since the first flash was the wrong flash? If I went and made a dvd and booted would it work. I know I'm being lame I'm just a little worried everything was smooth until now. thanks

ok I'm being a severe newb I guess, I just got some action all 4 switches right and held power and eject that time and it worked. guess I'll keep reading, if anyone has insight it would be appreciated.

OK I got it but I broke something in the process. One of my external switch pins in the connector got broken off so now I have no led's. at least some of the dip switches work, I'm afraid I lost some options I had hopefully I just lost Leds, not sure if I can use the other banks or not now. Anyway if a mod wants to delete this they can or if anyone knows about the pins on the external switch you could reply or I may just see what happens.

you could try soldering the leg back on loL. But as they are so small you should just buy a new one. everyones having so much trouble installling an X3, im so proud that my dad didnt have any trouble! :B
