Bad flash

I accidentally used the 1.6 1959 bios that i had for my 1.6 xbox to flash my friends newly modded 1.0 xbox. I made the attempt to boot into the backup memory, but it won't let me flash anything. Instead, it give me the "halt..." message. The flash protect on the chip and panel are off.

I had the same problem bud. Someone sent me their machine after they screwed up the flash so here is what I did.

Mind you, this is a 1.0 mobo. I grabbed a 256k bios (X2 4983.06) and flashed it to a 256 bank Switches in the position: on, on, off, on, off

Worked like a charm. Now at least I have a workable bios and I have just installed EvoX 3935 to the stock HD. I am going to try to FTP the X3_erase.xbe that comes with the 1959 bios and figure out how to run it.

Hopefully, that will wipe the banks clean and allow me to try to flash the 1959 bios to this beast.
