Bad Key/KV

I've done a lot of googling and forum searching on this, found nothing.

I've dumped my nand 7 times now, all have 0 mismatching blocks. All read with 1B5 being a bad block. All read a bad key/kv.

Tried to use Degraded 1.1b to remap the block. However, upon opening any of the nand.bin files in degraded, it proceeds to crash. No error about reading the file. I even checked via a hex editor about the copyright info, it all checks out.

I am using a Nand-X.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the quick reply!

I have indeed entered the 1BL key and set the file start to 39.

The error with Degraded is a Windows error stating that Degraded MFC Application has stopped working. Then, you can either check for a solution or close the program.

I've tried XP SP2 compatibility mode, fails as well.

I've used the Jtag Tool to remap the bad blocks successfully, as far as I know, anyway.

Still getting "Bad Key/KV"

I've also attempted from another computer as well.

This console has no history, the DVD drive wasn't even flashed.

EDIT:I've discovered my problem. I was reading so well, that I was skipping steps.

After becoming frustrated, I decided to start from the top again. Instead of worrying about the bad KV error, I flashed xell, and got the key from there. Then created my freeboot bin, flashed it. Wouldn't boot to the dash. Then, I remembered I had a bad block, remapped, reflashed, SUCCESS!

Thanks again for the reply.
