HI

Updated my Lite On to LT 2.0 successfully. And all seemed well.

Would anyone mind explaining what is happening. Backups that are installed on the HDD play fine (RDR FORZ3) . Backups that are not get disc unreadable error. ( GOW2, Bayonetta e.g.)

I borrowed a friends COD:BO backup and it actually booted and played fine. Then immediately tried my GOW2 backup and it failed just at the intro video (unreadable), which was further than it got before.
Tried COD:BO straight after, it was now unreadable!

This is the laser, isnt it? I have a CK Blaster and I just dont fancy taking it all apart if its not.

Many Thanks

PS is this also a flagging concern?

Sounds like your drive is tempramental so would point out as a weak laser, how do you back up your games and what discs do you use, it might be worth investing in a new laser or easier a complete drive..

Also just becuase you have a bad laser won't flag you for a ban these tend to wear out after time just like any other item.

On a side note it is recommended by some to remove your laser ribbon during flashing as this can also be a case of wear and tear excessively

Pot tweak: short term fix
New laser or drive: longterm fix.
The choice is yours

Personally I don't like pot tweaks, id rather spend an extra few pounds on a laser or drive as it will have to be sorted in the long run.

Hope this helps
