Bad NAND update on RGH

Hello.
I was trying to flash the nand on my rgh to get the newer dashboard. Everything was going great until it hit 77% and then slowed to a crawl. After many hours it actually completed but failed to auto shutdown. Now I get an E79 upon booting.
I'm pretty much a noob, and paid someone else to do the rgh for me.
Any suggestions on how to get it working again?

I still have a copy of my original nand and my cpukey.

Thanks guys!

Not quite sure how to do that. Have the USB in. Xell boots until 'fat mount uda0' then stops.
Sorry really first time attempting anything like this and trying to use google as much as possible.

Go with the much easier update method and use XeBuild's update mode.

If something goes wrong during the RawFlash writing process, you will need to use a hardware flasher to recover.

When using XeBuild's update mode, everything is done for you over LAN - all you need to do is make sure your console is connected to your network and that UPDSERV is running on your console and then you simply click the "Update" button in J-Runner.

you cant use xebuilds update mode if the console only boots to xell.

Yes, my mistake - I should have read the OP properly.

To be fair though, it has been well documented both on here and on RealModScene (where official XeBuild and DashLaunch releases are posted).

RawFlash should let him update to the stage where his console boots to the dashboard, but if any bad blocks are present and if they haven't been remapped correctly, RawFlash will likely fail which means he will need to use a hardware flasher to write a good image back to the console.

I figured I just had a bad USB drive so I put the files on a different one and now xell just stalls at: SATA device at ea001200
I searched for that in google and found a board that said that will come up because xell isn't compatible with the hitachi drive, which I have. It recommended detaching it then restarting xell. But how would I even get into xell with it disconnected? I'd really like to avoid taking this thing apart.
Clearly there is a simpler solution.

you need to open console and disconnect both cables that go into the DVD drive. look on google for how to disassemble the xbox.

I'm just going to throw this out there. Those of you paying people to do RGH work should be going back to the person who did it in the first instance. They should be advising you how to update the console *properly*. If they're not, you're not getting the full service. Proper installers will at least give you a link to a guide on how to update it.

I provide links on how to update dash. Dashlaunch info. Fsd info. Hacked compatability file info. Partition fixer info if they need it. Optional media update info. How and where to put games. Iso convertion etc. I also have a folder on dropbox with all the programs and stuff they could possibly need.
all my customers get a copy of this.
there is so much I have a txt file saved with all my most useful links with explanations etc.
and if they still struggle they know they can always bring it back for me to sort it.

Well, it was done by one of the 5 star vip members from this board and that sadly didn't happen.
