Bad update, Help :(

Hi

I tried to update my dash but my little boy was crawling around the room and knocked my 360,, now it wont boot,, just sits with one red light on doing nothing,,,

i made a back up before it all went pear shaped,,

is it possible to save my 360 or is it dead,,

i still have my nand x and i have the flashdump.bin file,,

but my head is in bits..

am i screwed or it it salvageable

and if it is repairable,, can i have step by step instructions,, i am stupid

Every xbox 360, if its not physically mashed into pieces is repairable. I'd suggest searching around the forums for the 1ROD (ring of death) fix. Try to disconnect and reconnect everything. If that doesn't work, a Xclamp fix might be required.

By the way, if you put an xbox 360 vertically, there is more of a chance of something is to happen to it.

No offense to anyone, but most of the time the X-clamp fix causes more damage in the long run because it usually warps the board and or chip. Most fixes I have seen witht he X-clamp look like this. There is a VERY small tolorance and even with rrod kits I think it's risky in my opinion. A good fix if its a chip problem is a proper reflow or reball. I you cannot get it to work and that is indeed what it is then I recommend you reflow or reball it, or pay someone to do it for you if need be

Its got nothing to do with RROD or Clamps or anything to do with overheating,, its a bad system update flash..

the update i was flashing to my nand got interupted, my boy knocked the psu

how can i restore the back up i created with flash360 before i tried to flash the 360..

it cant/wont/will not boot..

is there a option in coolshrimp?

i am begining to regret messing with my 360 after a 8 hour night shift

never mind,, put my boy down for a nap and sorted it,, after a can of redbull and a chocolate muffin

i managed to get the old dash back up and running using cool shrimps tool and my old freeboot.bin file

just a quick question,,
i am mow running dash 2.0.13599.0 is that the one before the new style dash,, i dont much like the new style dash,, so if i can keep the one i have got running now i am just going to keep it

Yay get me,, fixed it all by myself
