Hi. Wondering if anybody could tell me how M$ do their banning. Wondering if there are any chance that I will be banned if I play an original xbox 360 disc on a flashed xbox 360 console on Live. Do they check for hacked firmware or for copied discs? thx all.

Mhhh, that's a very good question. Some say they check for people that play backups on Live. I know some guys who only play originals on Live and they hadn't had much problem so far (they're useing i Xtreme 1.2 rev C).
Some other say they check youre firmware. Although I think that that's not true there is a slight chance that they do check the Firmware or both. The best thing you can do, if you really want to play on Live, is to only use youre originals.

The way I understand it microsoft will ban you if you have EVER played a non-stealthed disk on your system if it was or wasnt connected to xbox live. From what I understand the system logs disc read errors and an update from microsoft started logging more information from these failures and when someone connected to xbox live they checked the log and if they found that games had been loaded and logged in that file that had certain attributes (im assuming they checked things like the booktype and the disc name and such.) then they would ban the console. the new ixtreme release wont allow you to even try to play non-stealthed games specifically for this reason.

i thought its the firmware who did the stealthing?
why did airhead says 'the new ixtreme release wont allow you to even try to play non-stealthed games'?
are you saying that you have to backup your original somehow so that it is stealthed?

Yes. If you have backups that were created without stealth they will not play on the new Ixtreme revision. This revisions firmware prevents the use of non-stealthed disks. XBC has a built in check to see if a disc or an iso is stealthed.
