I just cancelled Xbox Live last week. Even when I had it .. I didn't care. I knew the risk and was banned from Xbox Live on the original Xbox once. I don't think it will happen because of the nature of the mod. That they keep coming out with new hardware and new firmware pre-shipped instead of detecting/updating current systems seems to me like they can't detect the firmware. I think stealth is useless and always has been. Microsoft focused on the core security since all previous hacks for game systems attacked that. I don't think they can detect the firmware, but I still say that if you care that much about Xbox Live .. don't flash your drive.
