Greetings,
Basic Noob here, but have some questions I don't believe I discovered in the User's Guide:
- I am on SX OS 2.5.2 (have not updated to OFW 7.0), and am using SX Pro (Auto-RCM is not installed).
- After playing my 1st XCI file (I booted directly into the screen where all my XCI files are; where options at the top of the screen are Games/License/Installer, etc), and powering down the Switch, does powering up my Switch automatically place me into OFW mode?
The reason I ask this is because I can also boot into a default SX OS screen where my 3 options 'Boot Custom FW', 'Boot Original FW', and Options. At this screen, it seems the only way to play XCI games is if I choose the 'Boot Custom FW', then it takes me to the screen where all my XCI files are located.
- I noticed upon restarting the Switch, with the SD card removed, the XCI game icon was still present on the Switch's main screen, and the Save data was residing on the Switch internal memory. Is this the default behavior (e.g., I was assuming anything XCI-related would reside on the SD Card. So when I remove the SD Card, I was expecting the XCI game icon to be gone, and the Save Data to be resident on the SD Card)?
I haven't played with SW Installer enough to know if I can back up game saves to the SD Card, and then re-load them to the Switch's internal memory.
If I go online in OFW mode, with the XCI icons/game saves present, is this a potential red flag for a ban? As is, when I do go online (mostly for OFW updates, cruising the eShop, or getting updates for physical cartridges I have), I usually delete the XCI games saves from the Switch's internal memory out of sheer fear.
- I have conducted a NAND dump on the OFW 6.2.0. Is there any benefit in keeping the NAND on the SD Card, or is it just taking up space?
- I am planning to conduct an EmuNAND dump via the SX OS software. I see that doing so will re-format my SD Card (so backing up the data on the card seems rationale). After getting the EmuNAND dump, can I just place the back-up data on the SD Card, or do I need to 're-apply' for the SX OS license the way it is mentioned on pages 6-7 of the SX OS V1.3 User's Manual?
- When using SX Pro, I make sure I am in 'Airplane Mode', and when I am in OFW mode, I always remove the SD Card. Is there anything basic I should be doing to reduce the chances of a ban?
Thanks in advance for any help that can be provided.
