Bat fans, rejoice! After some uncertainty, veteran voice actor Kevin Conroy has been confirmed to return to his long-standing role of Bruce Wayne in the upcoming Batman: Arkham Origins. It had been widely rumoured that a new voice actor would be brought in by WB Montreal to portray a younger, more rough-around-the-edges Bats in the prequel, but Conroy himself confirmed his involvement at a Q&A at the Dallas Comic Con over the weekend. "I can talk about it now," he declared during the panel. "We've been working for about nine or ten months on the next Arkham game. We all signed contracts so we weren't allowed to talk about it. The studio likes to completely control the rollout of any product, so they don't like us to talk about anything, but it's now been announced.

"It's an unbelievable game, I still can't say anything about it, and you don't want me to anyway because it will ruin it for you, but it's amazing. It's a huge, huge cast, and a big story. It took almost a year of writing to put it together. They've been working on it a long time." If you have 51 minutes and 4 seconds to spare, catch the full panel here.
In other Arkham Origins news, a sneaky screengrab of Amazon's US site seems to confirm Deathstroke as a playable character. Pre-orders of the game made through Amazon will receive the character along with $10 of promotional credit to be used on the site.
No further details are given as to how a playable Deathstroke will feature in the game, but as we've reported before, it's been rumoured that Arkham Origins may be the first title in the series to feature a multiplayer component. Perhaps we'll be able to pit Slade Wilson against Wayne in an online near-deathmatch...
What other villains would you like to see be made playable?
