Battlefield 4 will launch in fall 2013, according to a poster scooped up by Gamersky and passed along by Pixel Enemy - apparently you'll get some real-life dogtags with "Battlefield 4" written on them when you preorder. All highly unconfirmed, non-official and worth taking with a sack or two of salt. The poster corresponds to the game's first artwork, and includes images EA has already released as teasers. If it's a fake, it's a good one, and the release window is hardly stretching the bounds of probability - the publisher said it would release the game "next year" in a January earnings call, but neglected to specify whether it was referring to a calendar year or a fiscal year.
Of relevance: EA and Microsoft are said to have signed a major next gen exclusivity deal, with the new Xbox tipped to launch this autumn. Join the dots, possibly.
It's also rumoured that Battlefield 3 Premium members will get exclusive access to the Battlefield 4 beta. We'll hear more on 27th March, thank God.
