RGH BB Jasper no MU

Ok here we go. Got a 512mb Jasper according to both the owner and nandpro however when checking memory under settings it shows no storage devices. I even formatted the MU using nandpro usb: -e512 1000 but still no success.

I can get xell to boot but can't generate a correct FB image. Using xeBuild directly generate a 16mb freeboot image which doesn't work while other tools fail to create any output.

Ok, I partially fixed this one. Since nothing would resolve the MU problem including erasing the NAND or updating via USB from 13599 to 14699.

After updating the dash I redumpped 64mb of the NAND and used xeBuild manually to create a freeboot image then re-flashed with nand-x and it worked.

Boots fine and pretty quick for a BB Japser now but with no internal memory/storage.

EDIT: For some strange reason after soldering the famous 68nf cap, fitting everything to the case and install the HDD now the internal MU shows under device storage and seems to be fully functional. Crazy but it works.

Hi manwithoutname, I have a similar issue with what I thought was a 16mb jasper. Turns out I had the same issue you did, it was actually a 512. Well ,y MU doesn't show up either. Do you have any ideas, I already have the 68nf cap soldered


Edit: Just updated to 14699 using Multibuilder .7 and it shows MU.

You went throught a lot you just needed to know that to be able to see the memory unit you need to have the HDD Plugged in... (Happened to me)
