There are functions of a console which are never used at retail (SDA/SCL, TMS/TDI etc) so the console would test perfectly well, however when asked to do something extraordinary like recover after a CPU slowdown they may 'misbehave'.

No change. Hopefully you all are up for a challenge because this one's a pain in the butt. Checked over old rgh points and they all look ok. I assume if they weren't it wouldnt boot anyways but checked anyways. Tried all combinations of dips, voltage and resistance. Guess it's time to start checking points with mm. One question though, if i have the jrp plugged into the console but not to usb, the console should still boot shouldnt it? I never do that and am unsure of what its supposed to do but i went to turn it on and would only light for a split second until i unplugged the jrp from the console. Another wierd thing that happened was before i tried martins suggestion i turned the console on and 3 of the outside lights on the rol light up green and stayed on until i turned it off. What the hells up with this thing?

The RoL throws sporadic output if you use a std xell image. AUD_CLAMP is preferred since it doesn't use ROL wiring. I suspect this is what's causing that.

If you have the JRPv2 hooked up to the console but no USB, you may notice issues. You're better to either keep the JR-Pv2 connected via USB, or disconnect JR-Pv2 completely.

I really have no idea why you're getting stuck on POST 10. Sorry.

Well, i'm going to redo wiring and look over board while doing it just in case. Then, if that doesnt work i'll reflow it. If that doesnt work then i'll just have it reballed. Martin, have you ever had a console that just wouldnt work? It's a first for me.

Ok well thanks for helping anyways. If anything changes i'll update the thread. If not i'll probably just remove everything, flash it back to retail and sell it. Thanks again! :)
