I've been outta the xbox moddin scene for a few months and could do with a few updates.

I'm usin a 2.6 chip flashed with the M8plus_16 bios, has this bios been superceded and which is the latest one now ?

Also what are the major differences

Thanks

Mick

At one point the M8plus bios was your only bios choice for version 1.6xboxes. Xecuter has now got a 1.6 compatible bios. The latest version of this bios is X2 5035. Now like the M8 bios there are two versions of it, one for 1.0 - 1.5 xboxes and one for 1.6+ xboxes.

The major difference is this bios is as stable a bios as you are going to find - way more stable than the EVOX bios. The 5035 bios is also capable of getting settings from an INI file(dubbed X2 config live) which you can put in the root of either your E or F drive. If you edit the INI file yourself, eith manually or by using one of the x2config.ini editing tools availible you can take control of:

starting debug
in game reset
boot logo and flubber customizations
dashboard boot options and order
xbox live protection
+ more

if you have a 1.6xbox then this is now the bios to be using. Being able to edit just an ini file makes customization of the bios a hell of a lot easier than ever before. Okay it's not as advanced as an X3 chip and bios but this really is as good as it get. All major bugs seem to have been ironed out. So again there really is no alternative to the 5035 bios!!!! Xecuter out a lot of work into this bios and boy has it paid off.
