Beginner questions before hacking

So I've been waiting for my SX Pro dongle to arrive while doing some research on this topic and I still have a couple of general questions. So as far as my understanding goes, after the hacking process I'll be left with a hidden EmuNAND partition on my SD card where all of my hacking stuff goes, and an untouched SysNAND where I can go back and play all my legit games online normally. My goal is to minimize ban risk, so my plan is: Backup SysNAND before doing anything, install SX OS on EmuNAND partition and dump all of my offline game cartridges so I can play all of them from CFW, using OFW exclusively for online games. So my doubts are:

  1. What if I continue playing a game on CFW and then decide to go on back to OFW to play keeping my save file, does that have any risk or is it safe as long as I don't cheat/modify my save file? Or is it fine?
  2. Regarding fuse burning, I don't think I understand correctly, why should I care not to burn them? Is there any reason I would need to downgrade? Or am I missing something? My switch is not IPatched so I don't see the point.
  3. Speaking of updating, I plan on updating my CFW using some homebrew, but if I want to update my OFW, Is it perfectly fine to go ahead and boot OFW and update normally via the official servers?
  4. Anything I need to know about switching between OFW and CFW? Let's assume I'm on CFW and want to boot into OFW, so I turn off my console, take out the SD card (just to be extra safe) and boot into OFW directly? Or do I need to do anything else to be careful, like restoring NAND every time? Then from OFW to CFW, turn off, insert SD, boot into RCM and nothing else?
  5. I plan to go online on CFW, and I now you can do it somewhat safely by not connecting to the Nintendo servers. I've read online about using 90DNS, something called Incognito and SX OS's built in stealth mode. Whats the exact difference between these 3? Are they compatible, so I can use all 3 for extra safety or using for example stealth mode makes the other 2 redundant as that already covers everything?
  6. FAT32 is the recommended format for the SD card in the SX OS official installation guide, however, almost everyone recommends going for exFAT as it is just better in every way. Should I just go for exFAT anyway?
Sorry if any of these questions seem stupid, I know some are very specific stuff but I want to make sure I know everything I'm doing is correct. Every bit of help is greatly appreciated, thank you all in advance.

Safest way not to get banned is to have 2 Switch, 1 for cfw and another for your online play, simple is that
If you tamper with your device there will always be a risk og ban, even though you have a clean ofw, noone knows what N can and can not see

I am well aware that I'm vulnerable to ban regardless of what I do, but I was hoping to minimize the risk of that happening (without buying a second console that is, way too expensive).

Emunand would be your next best answer then. SD files is easier to backup, but some people prefer hidden partition. Others claim that using 2 sd cards helps, but Nintendo themselves don't recommend using 2 SDs unless that's has changed. Make sure to always have Stealth Mode on in CFW or just don't connect to the internet at all. Backing up and using your games with your certs will also lower the chance. Installing NSPs and using Homebrew will of course make the risk higher.

Also make sure to have a nand back up of your clean sysnand before doing anything else.

I see. So basically I’m worrying too much. I better stop obsessing with trying to be unbannable and just stick with your advice. Thanks for your help!

Unless you buy 2 switches, you're rolling the dice. I don't think anyone has enough data to demonstrate that one way of hacking is more online-safe than another way. All we have is guess and theory, and people have been banned even with clean sysNANDs.
