benq back to liteon

hello guys this is a first time post so here goes

my mate has an xbox with a benq spoofed as a liteon which we were changing back to a liteon which in itself seemed pretty straight forward extract the key and flash it back onto the new liteon drive which we have done the only problem is it will now only play originals :crazy::crazy: the xbox is on the latest dash and the firmware on the drive lt3 any help would be great

Did the BenQ firmware report that it had been spoofed?

Also, which firmware did you write to the Lite-On drive?

yes the benq reported as being spoofed as a liteon when i extracted the key and it loaded into dvdkey and i flashed the new liteon drive with the key extracted from the benq and liteon lt 3

You mean you used Manual Spoof to inject the drive key into LTplus-025-v3.0.bin?

Have you got the JungleFlasher log?

yes i manual spoofed as it wanted to autoload benq cfw.
sorry i dont have the log.

try re flashing it, and keep the log this time..so if you have any problems the log might show it

listen guys thank you very much for your reply's ive just got in off the nightshift took my own liteon drive out flashed it with my mates key and hey presto so it looks like ive been sold an iffy drive from a well known dealer i have even tried putting my own laser and the one out of the original benq which are all the same models in it and it still wont read so i dont think its a laser issue please correct me if im wrong im just a little angry that i may have been ripped off.

did you try reflashing the "iffy" drive, might have just been a bad flash...and keep the JF log
if it's playing originals..doesn't sound that iffy

guys i dont know how relevant this is but i have 3 saves of this key prior to updates the one in the log being the first .
what i have just noticed is that when i load the last one into firmware tool it stops reporting the drive as being spoofed

when your dvd try to read the disc what dose it say ? play dvd or just cant read it

this disc is unreadable.

i thought i had just made a breakthrough as i just put pes 2012 in and it started to read it i.e it came up in the box on the xbox menu then when i selected play game it started to load the little circle on the bottom left started spinning then i got the this disc is unreadable message again (all discs i have tried are verbs as its all i use)

starting to think its the drive as i borrowed a multimeter and tinkered with the pot settings going down in increments of one and that did not help either i have also now tried 3 different (known to be working) lasers and that has not worked either.

Are there any other known flaws or issues other than the laser that could cause this to happen.

Does it says unreadable disc on both originals land backups?

Just backups mate. Although when I was messing about with the pot settings on my laser at one point it was doing it with both but I returned the settings back to what they were and it read originals again no probs.

listen guys i would like to thank you all for taking the time to respond to my thread but it now seems this is not firmware related as i have now started to get a degree of success loading some games although still very tempremental and only 1 xgd3 title as any with normal wear and tear will not load up even after adjusting the pot on the laser as per ubers tut and trying different known to be working lasers it is still a bit touch and go so i think the drive will need to go back.

ur lieton erase is major aswell because it sends intro to the drive so u can flash it try get it to erase then read and write frimware with key intact
