ANSWERED Benq drive dead

Hi

Just clarifying that my drive is dead and ive done everything possible.
It was working yesterday, however today its just stopped working.It wont eject no matter what i do.Even if i hook it up to a ck3 it doesnt respond.The laser lights up though and stays lit i don't know why.
Should i order a new drive? I have saved my key

Did it literally just stop working inthe xbox???? If so and if doesn't let u benq unlock it then it's likely it's fooked.... What was it doing when it stopped working??

yeh just stopped working.When i switched on the xbox and pressed the eject button nothing happened.So yeh the drive is a duff.Ive ordered another one.

Thats a shame its totally gone, you can't even use it as a ripping drive .

if u want - I'm sure I have a BenQ PCB you can have if u cover the cost of postage mate - then at least u can sell the drive on or use it as a ripping drive.....pm if u r interested

Are there any burn marks on the PCB?

It could be a case of a failed component which we know Teajunkie can fix almost anything....heeeh!

The board looks ok.Ive ordered another drive with the pcb fitted.lucky i saved my key.
