BenQ "Open Tray" Error

Hi everyone,

I have a BenQ LT+3.0 and updated my dashboard. After updating my dashboard, all the recent backups I've tried (Gears of War 3, Arkham City, Battlefield 3) give me "Open Tray" when I put them into my 360.

Since these are XGD3 games, I recently purchased a iHAS124B drive and flashed it with ixtreme burner max firmware for Memorex disks. I tried burning SSX yesterday and still got a Open Tray error.

I'm confused, it can't be the flashed firmware since all my older backups work perfectly. It can't be the media because all of my games are burned onto Memorex disks. It can't be the burning process because I have used imgburn for all games. It can't be XGD3 games only since SSX is not a XGD3 game.

I've heard that some people say the "Open Tray" could mean a laser problem. However, if this was the case how come my older games run flawlessly and only the newer backups give me a Open Tray error.

Insights would be much appreciated.

Xgd3 are tougher to read. Ap2.5 checks require a healthy laser. Pot tweak your laser very slightly

If spelling error, I blame Tapatalk.

Like Joe said, XGD3 is harder on your DVD drive, I would replace the laser because I never had any luck with the POT tweak.

I would also ditch the Memorex and get some Verbatim discs

Just did a pot tweak like the tutorials and now the drive is able to read the disks and "Play Game" comes up. However, it just goes to black screen and an error message saying "Unsupported Disk" shows up. All XGD2 and older games and backups work perfectly.

I guess the only option now is to just replace the laser?

Do you have topology patched to your ap25 discs? Abgx360 1.0.6 on level 3

In the case of a spelling error, I blame Tapatalk.
