FIXED Benq "play DVD"

Ok quick question. Dash 9199
1. Benq flashed with stock firmware with DVD key change to replace old busted Benq drive.
2. 100% certin dvd keys match. (rgh to aquire keys)

Can a bad laser result in games disks giving a "play DVD" title.?

yes, also a scratched game dvd.

I had one other day giving mixed media disk and odd time play DVD turned out to be laser movement worm

Normally this is only due to incorrect key, dodgy laser would normally give open tray

yes, bad laser can result in play DVD,

what probably happened was a bad flash, possibly, you should try reflashing,

you might need to replace the laser if you still have play dvd error.

So you got the dvd key from Jrunner?
if you re-dump the drive does the dvd key match what the consoles nand says it should be in jrunner?

Yes when I dump the drive the key matches

Can you post a JungleFlasher log from when you last flashed the drive (after obtaining the correct drive key through XeLL)?

So the dvd key from the drive matches the dvd key listed in the KV_Info.txt file.

In which case you have either a duff laser or you may have the incorrect drive model.

As you did the RGH it should tell you what the original drive is check that out and make sure it was a benq

Got it working, thanks guys I'll be sure to be generous with the thanks button. Just so you know I got the key from xell and jrunner confirmed it, it was a direct replace(exact same drive). It turned out to be a bad laser
