FIXED Benq USB

I have a spare Benq drive that I have recently flashed. It flashed perfectly, everything matched up to the guide posted on this forum. Now every time I plug it into my computer the computer sees it as a USB drive and not a disk drive, which means I can't use Xbox Backup Creator with it.

I am currently using a usb pro, ck3 lite with a mollex power supply from XConsoles and a wall converter for the power supply, and a Toshiba laptop. I don't have internet access at home and installed and flashed everything without internet access. The usb pro first powered up with a green light on the portio side, but after flashing the Benq it has a red light. I'm not sure if that's important.

Also, Jungle Flasher will not recognize the Benq drive any longer. I have not been able to solve this problem by searching and it's driving me nuts. I purchased the Benq drive and I can get the eject button to work when It's hooked up with the ck3. I don't understand why the computer will no longer recognize it.

I don't know how to outro a drive, so I have not tried it. I have some basic knowledge of programming, since I have self-repaired my laptop from some basic software issues. I really don't have very much experience other than that, so I haven't tried to change anything on the drive after figuring out the problem I described in the first post.

I did flash the benq with 800 v3 firmware. I got the package attached to a forum post (i don't remember exactly where). It came as a zipped package titled "Latest iXtreme and stock firmware pack". When unpacked with 7 zip it gave me three folders. I chose 0800 Benq and phat Lite-on v3 folder and used the LT Benq 800 v3 file. Everything seemed to check out and all the information matched what I saw on the guide.

Drive letter in windows? I'm not familiar with that. Sorry for being such a noob. Anything I do with programming is usually backed up by enough research to make it work and be wary of common pitfalls.

Have you read the JF tutorial or the tutorial in the fw pack ?? I would guess not :( start there dude ;)
There is no tutorial in the firmware pack, and I have not been able to find a straight jungle flasher tutorial. The ones on this site that I have been able to find are tutorials for communicating with specific drives using jungle flasher. I used the one for communicating with a Benq using Jungle Flasher and the process was completed successfully exactly as it was shown in the guide. I'm not an idiot, I am inexperienced. If I had a tutorial I would have read it before posting.

If you have a tutorial I can look at, attach it or post a link please. I am more than willing to read over tutorials, when I can actually find them.

Post a screen-shot of JungleFlasher when you have everything hooked up (this means your USB Pro and CK3) to your drive.
Okay, here is a screenshot of Jungle Flasher while my flashed Benq is hooked up to my computer. I attached it to my post because I couldn't fiquire out how to post a picture within the post (kept giving me an error that said I was going over 5000 characters when I tried). :rolleyes2: That's what I get for skipping coffee this morning.

Daman I'm sorry I need to correct myself. I have a ck3 mini, not a lite.

You said you were using a USB Pro?

Either you don't have it connected or the drivers aren't correctly installed.

If they were, you would have the option to tick "USB Only" and the log at the bottom would say "X360USB 0.18 attached" (or similar).

I did originally install the usb pro drivers and everything seemed agreeable. I'm currently keeping them in a folder on my desktop, grouped with other folders for xbox backup creator and jungle flasher. I can re-install the drivers, but where should I keep them in the computer so I don't have to re-install them every time?

Also, there is no notification that asks for the drivers when I plug in the usb pro to the computer.

Hey what do you know, device manager does seem to be showing a problem. It wasn't doing that when I plugged everything in at home. I feel betrayed by my electronics. The picture is attached.

Holy crap it worked. HALLELUIAH Thank you to everyone who replied.

All I had to do was reinstall the driver software. The portio side of the usb pro is green again and the Benq shows up as a disk drive rather than a portable usb drive.

It looks like for some reason the drivers came out of communication after I unplugged everything the first time. At least I know how to fix it now. Thanks again!
