Have you tried writing the original NAND dump back ? It might have been a bad write.

What about the eject button - it isn't getting stuck at all is it (I'm talking about the blue button on the front of the console's board)?

the log I posted is of me putting it back to stock firmware. I just put it back to LT.3.0 and it sticks the tray half out when powered off. Light still flashing green

nope I think power Is weak it does not eject at all connected to USB power. Trying using the xbox to power it right now. However with the firmware restored to stock same problem.

could it be a laser problem? because Jungle Flasher Read Writes and Unlocks with no trouble at all

I very much doubt your laser would cause this - did you check that button on the front of the console?

I also changed the drive belt because it would not open standing up could that be a cause?

When did you change the drive belt - before or after you had the current problem.

BTW you only need 5v to flash this drive, so the logs etc are all ok.

check there is nothing interfering with those metal contacts under the dvd tray in the drive, this can mess with the eject mechanism.

I second the idea which d**ko316 has suggested. I was having a heck of a time with a couple consoles which I received to fix and found out they were both assembled with different parts from many consoles. Story found HERE. I went through the same issues you're having according to what you've stated here. Get this, it was also a BenQ drive.
Got things straightened out and working like new consoles! :D

Re: BenQ Vad Restore to Stock Firmware Drive Opening & Closing Flashing Green Light

The issue is probably to do with the drive belt you swapped. If it's not pulling the drive spindles apart it'll just look like it's jamming (tray won't move) and light will flash green on the front of the console.

tray opens & closes on its on without giving the command. When I power off the console the tray opens and stays open. Screen reads opening then closing. then opening etc....

Re: BenQ Vad Restore to Stock Firmware Drive Opening & Closing Flashing Green Light

So it's getting a mixed signal somewhere. A pic of the drive with the casing off and tray open (top and bottom) would be useful.
