I will be receiving an Xecuter 3 sometime in the near future and was wondering if some people could give me their input on what is the best setup.

I won't have have enough cash to purchase an extra hard-drive so I will only be burning stuff to DVD and running it on the software on my system.

So, what is the best software to have as a package with the Xecuter 3? After playing games, I would like my XBox to run (S)VCDs, allow me to not get banned from XBox Live (Halo 2 addiction) and for it to go on long walks on the beach with me.

get XBMC for your media playing need.

if you already went on XBL with the default HD, don't upgrade HD. or you will get banned!

Far from here!
For a dash I would install Avalaunch. It has alot of options and gives you the option to d/l XBMC and some other good apps.

Oh and maybe an umbrella...

so is Avalaunch better than Evox? Linux worth installing? What exactly can you do with it?

Hard Drive No longer Viewable (Now NTFS) HELP!

My buddy messed up bad...and formatted his Xbox 360 Drive in Windows to "NTFS" sigh.. Using Windows 7. He does have a backup of his data (gamesaves etc) it is a 20GB drive... (he backed up his data using xplorer) Any possible way to re partition the original Hard Drive so it is Viewable in the Xbox 360? Or is it now garbage?

I found a way to put the info on to a Western Digital Drive.. but he wants his original HD back..any way possible?

Thanks in Advance.

put it back into xbox and format it with the xbox!
then connect to pc again
then use xplorer360 or xport to write the files back to it!

Re: Hard Drive No longer Viewable (Now NTFS) HELP!

ahhhh - now that is because your pc has placed a file onto it that changes the way xbox looks at it
look up hddhacker thread over on xbox-scene - in there there are people discussing the same problems there is a way to recover it, but off the top of my head i cant remember the terminology or exact process for repairing it! sorry
