NEWBIE WARNING!!

I installed the X3CE chip in my 1.0 Xbox. Unfortunately I had to de-solder the holes before I installed the pin header (in hindsight I would have used the wires!!).
This made the job a lot harder.

Anyway chip is installed and worked when I switched it on - this is where it has all gone wrong. I tried to flash the ship with the latest X3 software - all I got was a blank screen on reload. Then I tried X3_1957 same again.

I took out the board and checked the solder joints - a wee bit of mess but they all appeared to be there - touched them up for good luck with more solder.

Tried the two Bios versions again - still no joy. The I tried Evox v2.6 and got the flashing lights on the eject button, so I then tried X2_4972 - same again.

If it is because of the soldering then I am in trouble - I cannot add any more solder and the pins are all straight - I must have done something right for FlashBIOS to start up correctly.

What can I try now??

Are there any other BIOS that will allow me to play backups of my games???

Please help.

Update

Apologies but should also note that when I installed X2 and Evox v2.6 I left the switch settings the same (on On Off Off) should I have changed them for a 256k BIOS.

Any other BIOS's that are recommended for the X3CE chip - in case pins 13 & 14 are ruined.

Update 2

Looks like the pin holes for 13 & 14 at least have been damaged removing the solder from them. Is there any way to route wires to other locations for pins 13 & 14 (i.e. wherever they go - chip etc).

Can I check the other holes /connections by any method (i.e. voltage) - most of the pins holes must be okay as the chip FlashBIOS works fine.

Does anyone have a PCB layout to track where each pin goes??
