Big problem with a Jasper

The original NAND is back to stock. The console boots, but only without the cooler and then of course it stops, after the ventilation warning. Once I put the cooler in the logo appears as it boots. But the cooler runs really fast and then it stops. Why could that be?

Okay

Your console is overheating. Thats why fans are spinning fast and you get RROD.

You have to do a x-clamp fix on it. Heatsinks need to come of and new cooling paste applied.

Never pull motherboard out of chassis by grapping heatsinks. You have probably broken the sealing between heatsink and processor.

But dont worry its not that difficult

This is not the case and is really bad advice.

If the fans spin fast and you get RRoD, it's because CPU_PLL_BYPASS is shorted to ground. It has NOTHING to do with the GPU. Either that or you have NAND read/write issues, which we see a lot of right now caused by interference on the cables to the NAND-x.

Unless you want to be throwing this console away, send it to someone to fix.

I do agree with Martin.

Also ensure that CoolRunner is desoldered from the board as you write your original NAND image.

I followed esbmaepo's advice and everything is working fine now. Thank you very, very much

I'm glad for you that it is working again :D

And Martin

Youre right of course. My mistake. sebysin did say 2 red lights. I called it RROD. In Denmark we have a tendency to call every red light a RROD....!

Now there's another issue. After I installed RGH, it booted in RxE without any problem for a few times. But now I try to start it, press the button, but it's like it doesn't have power at all, nothing happens. But the coolrunner has the red LED on. Hope u can help.
Thank you.

Can you start by pressing eject button?

Really!

1) I know your soldering looks really good, but check your wiring and look for shorts. Especially STBY_CLK, because if that point is ruined you wont be able to boot and read NAND. There should be ca 1.8v output on standby power.

2) Check if you get 3.3v power in NAND chip.

when you say you cannot read your NAND - what exactly happens?
if it was booting before, and not booting now - something has changed - what changed?
a wire may have moved if the console was knocked - we need more information from you

It's been 20 hours since I last checked if the console is starting. And surprise, it did start, but after about 10 minutes it stopped again all of a sudden.
I haven't got a device tu measure the voltage.
Could it be from the x-clamps, cause I didn't have special screws to bind them.
When I try to write nand, I get the erorror : Loking for usb...can not continue.

// After 1 hour it started again...
I 'll check the temperature in XeXmenu.

I see

So you put the x-clamps back on again. Dont know if thats the problem. But maybe your console is shutting down again to protect it self.

I cant understand why you cant read NAND though. Try unplug power supply and wait a while and see if you cant read nand.

And again. Check your wiring and soldering.

I had this problem with Nand x looking for usb, what i found the problem was one of my wires were sh*te, it looked great soldering but i unsoldered and re soldered one wire at a time testing as i went and that allowed me to see it in nandpro.

Not sure if this is the same thing you are experiencing.
