Hello .

Yesterday I flashed my firmware in my samsung ms28 drive . Then I tried to make copies by hotswap method and unfortunately I had few problems , so I gave up hotswap method . Today I connected my 360 to pc , I installed the newest drivers from via site , and windows recognised the 360 drive ( with 0800 disc ) . I put Far Cry into my 360 drive , windows showed that it has 6,87gb . And now ... I opened xbox backup creator and I saw that my dvd game has 4TB ( terabytes ) size :uhh: . When I clicked on "start" button it showed "unable to determine the current visible partition" . I don't know what should I do now :(

I ask You for help .

Regards,
Silt

here I attache the screen :

I resolved the problem :) You have to install older drivers to your via controler . Now it works perfectly :)

here is quote of one guy from xbox-scene
I turned out to be the VIA VT6421 driver that was causing all these problems. I rolled back from version 5.40A to 5.20A (downloaded from http://www.viaarena.com/Driver/VIA_RAID_V520A.zip ) and was able to backup GoW using XBC.

No , just install older drivers and it'll be all what you need to make backups ( 0800 disc also ) . Download drivers from ttp://www.viaarena.com/Driver/VIA_RAID_V520A.zip , install it and it'll probably start working .You won't have to update it to the newest verion every time . Now I'm working on that driver and it seems to work well :)

strange ... I've normally installed my drivers without any problems . Try to unplug sata cable or IDE when you have got connected it now , and try to install . When it still won't work , try to delete your via drivers by control panel and then reinstall it .

You can also uninstall your driver from Device Manager and try running the same setup for the newest driver. I had this same problem with VIA's drivers (showed up as 4 TB) but reinstalling the same version driver fixed mine as well.

Just a follow up to this.
I was having the same problem with the VIA 6421A under Windows Vista. I uninstalled the newest driver package, and after a reboot, couldn't installed the 5.20A drivers, because they're not compatible with Vista.
So, I right-clicked on the setup executable and ran it in compatibility mode for Windows XP SP2.
The drivers installed fine, and now Xbox Backup Creator rips the games perfectly.
It's probably not the best idea to run device drivers in compatibility mode, but everything seems to be fine, so I'm not complaining :)

Should be fine, I don't think the hex information changes with different drivers. I could be wrong though.
