Hello everyone, I have experienced lots of old games not working anymore!
Installed games on SD Card
e.g.
Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8, Octopath Traveller, Arcade Pinball, Riptide GP, Jotun (all working before)
I even can't start older *.xci
like
Gear Club Unlimited, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Starlink, Ys VIII Lacrimosa of Dana...
So...is there anything I can do to get these files working again?
PLEASE HELP! THANK YOU!!!

Some people have had to re-install some of their games. I'm on 2.7.1/8.0.1 emunand and Odyssey/Mario Kart and Octo all working.

Yes, unfortunately some users have had to reinstall games to get them working after updating. I am not really sure if it is just some kind of corruption that is happening or what since I did not experience this myself. I would suggest backing your save data up with Checkpoint, deleting the game and also deleting the game data from Settings -> data management. Some people have had luck just reinstalling the NCA files with SX Installer, but that has not worked for everyone either.

Checkpoint is homebrew, so it needs to run in CFW.

This update was really bad. I hope this doesn't happen the next time, or ever. 2 of my games got corrupted and I had to re-download, which I'm ok with. Bad unfortunately for my friend, all 53 of his games got corrupted. He didn't do anything different, all he did was update to sx os 2.7.1 then updated his switch to 8.0, same thing he always does with every update. TX started out great but it seems like with every update there's always an issue.

Did he try the games after updating SX to 2.7.1 or not till after updating his FW to 8.0.1? It's entirely possible that the FW update is what caused the corruption especially if you are using emunand and exFAT since the Switch does not handle exFAT well. Just a thought. Plenty of users have updated without any issues including myself and I went from 6.2 to 8.0.1 on emunand with fat32.

Unfortunately when people come here complaining and demanding and update you can only hold off pushing an update out for so long. Problems will always be found after releases. Even atmo has had issue after a release. Since they don't have to support

Leaving my feedback.
Updated from 6.2 to 8.0.1 and got no issues at all. Using exfat card, no emunand.

All xci and nsp which I tried on 6.2 worked on 8.0.1, after I confirmed that it works I deleted them all?

Also I updated with second sd card which is fat32 formatted and has only choi on it, boot file was 2.7.1, I run it on 6.2 before update to 8.0.1.

Well that's great for people that didn't encounter any issues. I did and my friend was worst. We didn't do anything different. Same routine, update sx os, update system firmware. Usually games will always work. But this time, 2 of my games got corrupted, and 53 of his games got corrupted. So you can just imagine how frustrated he was that he now has to re-install 53 games. Both of us have fat32. We both don't use emunand btw, never have.

Did anyone find a solution for games corrupting following FW update?
