Hi all

I've got xbox ver 1.6 and X3 including the LPC rebuild.
I've installed it and I see the two blue LED's of 3.3V and 5V and the red LED of flash not potected.
But I can't get to the X3 flash BIOS screen and the X on the flash BIOS select is always red. when I finish to assemble my XBOX I can get to ms BIOS and I can load Original games.
I've tried to solder all the LPC solder point and the result is the same.

What do I need to do?

10X in advance

Hobit,
If you're sure that your soldering is correct and and see the RED and BLUE LED, the you may be flashing an incorrect BIOS version to your XBOX.
Are you sure you have a XBOX 1.6? I had the same problem as yours when I first installed my XBOX because I thought my XBOX was 1.6 but it was 1.6b. Check if your RAM was made HYNIX, then if it is, your XBOX is 1.6. If your RAM was made by SAMSUNG, then XBOX is 1.6b.
If your XBOX is 1.6b, then you need to update/flash your BIOS with X3 3108 v16plus.
If your XBOX is 1.6, then you need to update/flash your BIOS with X3 3108 v16.

 I'm sorry, but I believe that the Samsung is ver 1.6, and HYNIX is 1.6b.

(I just modded mine like 3 wks ago, and I have Samsung, which was 1.6)

And the Bios ONLY comes in 2 versions, X3 3108, and X3 3108v16plus.

There is not a difference in Bios for 1.6 and 1.6b. (EXCEPT for Flashbios, 1.6=3.0.1, amd 1.6b=3.0.3)

Happy Modding!

Well, I've just come across the same problem.

I have an X3 that just won't enable - X3 logo is always red regardless.

I tried a known working X3 and works fine - gotta be the chip!

hobit - solder a wire to the d0 and whilst holding the other (bare) end against the metal case, press the eject button. let me know what happens.
