BIOS 1959 to 3029, frags

I have a 1.6 xbox™, manufacture date 2004-05-18. I am flashing the BIOS(with FlashBIOS 3.0.0) from 1959 to 3029.
After the patch successfuly applied the xbox™ start 2 times and the 3rd stays 'ON' with the 'Eject button' flashing green/red. I have tried the BIOS 2914, same thing. Flashing back to 1959, the xbox™ works as 'normal'.
Do i need to update FlashBIOS before the flash?

*Hint: i don't want to update FlashBIOS unless i have to.*

are you sure you are flashing the 3029 1.6 ???

Positive, i am flashing with 1.6 and NOT the 1.6plus for both, 2914 and 3029.

You are right, i was flashing with 3029 for 1.0-1.5.
