Okay, this is weird.

I installed the chip, and all was going well. Everything powered up the first time, i remembered to turn off write protect, and all that good stuff.

I flip the switches to (on on off off off).

I grab the latest bios i could find on xbin - two actually. FlashX3.rar and X3_3293.rar. No idea what the difference is.

But heres my problem: With both, the flashing freezes. I can boot into the backup and try it all over again, but each time, it freezes at exactly 50%. Anyone know whats up?

I have same problem. Can someone help us out? I tried using nnetwork install and bioth BIOses would freeze. I did both the X3 3293 v16plus.bin and X3 3293.bin and both would freeze ~25% through the green bar

Gah - I just tried EvoX, just for sh*ts. Just to see what would happen, right?

Wow! It loaded! Oh boy, oh boy!

FRAG. *Grumble* False hope sucks.

I also tried X3 version 1959, randomly chosen. Same thing.

1.0. I'm almost absolutely positive my wiring is done just fine, but as always one can make mistakes.

Another noticeable issue i'm having is that only the blue LED on the front bank switch panel lights up - i can succesfully boot into back up, and I can disable the switch - i just dont seem to be getting power to those leds.

then your either not getting 5 voltage or 3.3, there is a post that talks about this problem, you need to either find an alternate spot (5v) or try alternate pin (3.3v). But what i have seen is just checking the pins on the lpc can make the difference without rerouting power.

Actually, both LEDs are lighting just fine on the chip itself. Just not the front panel.

Seems like I fixed it, to some extent.

How? I unplugged the big nasty dip switch panel in the front. Somethings wrong with mine, i believe. As soon as I unplugged it, everything worked marvelous.
