Bios Flashing in X3 Config Live

I have a v1.6 Xbox. When I boot up it goes directly to X3 Config Live. I have an updated bios I'd like to flash into the chip. I have the bank settings correct. I burned the bios to a DVD-R using Nero, renaming the bios "bios.bin". I attached a 100MB dummy file. I place the DVD-R into the Xbox to attempt to flash bios, but nothing happens. It's like it doesn't recognize the DVD or something. In X3 config live, i think 2914, I go to bios tools and then load bios from dvd rom but when I put the DVD in nothing happens. I even tried to FTP into my Xbox using FlashFXP and a crossover cable. But for some reason it can't connect to the Xbox. I am new at this and need some help. Thanks!

sure thing. I like ftp flash. When you get on X3 config live, have you configured your ip for the xbox? can you tell me if you are using a router and if the router is set on dhcp enabled or not? What is your PC ip. Answer those questions for me and I will try to get you going.

When networking to the xbox the first three numbers in the IP for each should be the same. Like this:

192.168.0.2 (PC)
192.168.0.3 (XBOX)

Your Default gateway and subnet mask should be like so:

192.168.0.1 (Set in both PC and XBOX settings)
255.255.255.0

this should allow you to connect.
