bios flashing problem

when i turn my box on with X3 enabled the flashbios screen comes up but none of the selections are highlighted and I can't go any further. I have the standard switch set with only 1 and 2 on the X3 has 2 blue leds and the red led lit, the switch has blue xecuter logo. I want to flash with X3 3108 bios.

standard hard drive(for now a buddy is doing some software on my WD 250GB)

you have to use the d-pad on an ORIGINAL xbox controller

OR even better the Xbox remote control. (Some stock controllers have problems.)

Also, sometimes Flashbios gets to the options, but freezes, just keep trying with ONLY the stock controller plugged in.

using the original control worked. it's something I never saw on anything so never thought to try it. thanks for the answers, as for multiple posts I was just getting frustrated and was not getting any replies at all to begin with so sorry for the bad manners

Please note I had this same problem with a stock S controller. Had to use the DVD remote.

Same problem here,ended up having to use the USB connection on the X3 Control panel.
