BIOS FRAGS 1/2 the time... Please help

SO my chip is soldered correctly... since prior to installing BIOS the flash Bios 3.0 would appear everytime I turned on my xbox. I first installed V 1957. Then i would turn on my xbox and half the time (not exactly one out of 2 but somthing like that) the system would boot up with flubber into config live, but other half of the time. the system would look like booting (with HDD light flashing) but just show a black screen... (i believe this is called FRAG, but im a noob and could be wrong) I simply want to consistantly load X3 Config live and then eventually evoX...

also sometimes when in X3 config i will make a setting change... and the system will lock up...

also when i am in config i can not set up networking... when i turn on DHCP.. it doesn't save my setting and also doesn't pick up a dhcp address from my airport (it is plugged into the lan port... not wireless)

Can someone please take a look at the above and help me... I am new to the console mod scene and am very anxious to get into dashboards...

Hitachi drive wont read discs???

ok i bought a used xbox for cheap and was told it didnt read disk ok got it to power up put in a game spins a few seconds then says open tray then i took apart tried to clean but didnt work so bought a new one same make and model nothing diffrent changed out drive key to new drive but the xbox is still doing the same thing spins a few seconds then says open tray.has anyone had this problem before???motherboard problem or something else wrong maybe???is there anyway for me to find out if this the right drive for this motherboard???anyway to read the key from the motherboard?? thanks

did you flash it or swap circuit boards?

no, havent done neither. Only thing we did was purchased another drive thinking it was the drive but still nothing.
