I got the AID v3.10 up and running, I also got the eeprom erase tool from the application so how would I get it working and erase the eeprom of my chip or does it do that when you install it.

After you run the X3 Erase tool (I believe it's in the "Tools" folder if you explore the disk), your Xbox should reboot and (hopefully) appeaar in the X3CL screen.

I finally got it working and flashed it with the x3 BIOS and worked perfect. Just like to thank you for all the help and patience.

I booted to the UXADMIN Disk but when I select "Erase X3 EPROM (passwo_"
I get Error "Unable to launch "\x3_erase\default.xbe". File dose not exist."

I'll try again and see if I can figure it out but just wanted to throw it out there incase your .rar archive was modified since you posted it.

The links to find the old bios and eprom eraser are all dead after the jump. Can't find via torrent either...any suggestions?
Download the link I posted on the first page in this thread. hint: it's also in my signature ;)

Actually I have the unleash disc DL'ed and burned from megaupload. Problem I am facing is after flashing with X2 5035, I still can't boot from any discs (also tried my old slayers disc). I get blue on the X3 chip, but ring flashes R&G.

so I was looking at this post: http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29503&highlight=Erase+X3+EPROM

and was trying to find a copy of X3 1959 BIOS to no avail.

your thoughts?

EDIT...right now I am DL'ing the AID 4.10 disc via torrent too...not sure if that will work either tho, if I can't boot it.

To clarify I only have access to two bioses X3_3294 and X2_5035. I followed the directions from MartinC: I downloaded the boot disc from megaupload.com and flashed the X2_5035 bios to banks 5&6 (on off on off). After flashing completes successfully, the system shuts off. I then reboot the box and get blue on the X3 chip, but flash R&G on the ring. I hit eject and place boot disc in drive and reboot...no effect.

What I assume should be happening, is that it should boot to X2 bios and look to the disc or go to XBMC and give me a chance to load the disc manually...but it's apparently not liking the X2_5035 bios.

So I am currently trying to find a copy of any old X3 bios (I read that 1959 is the one to shoot for, but apparently any before 3084 should work), but I cannot find any links to dl any bioses that are not out of date and dead...no torrents, etc...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

-=T=-

P.S. - How is it this problem was discovered over two years ago and is still not fixed in a bios update?

I agree.I don't have my original HD and shouldn't have to.For how much I paid for my chips and control panel I shouldn't have to be going through this crap.
It didn't say next to the option,if you do this,it will screw your bios up......

Now I have Xecuter 4983 running on a different bank.What sucks is I lost all my options as their is no CP available now!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ran that disc,and it didn't find no x3 exe either.

If I don't find a fix for this,I have no reason to ever buy a X3 chip again.I have been using duox2 crap for years,and NEVER had a issue.Now that I wanted something with style I am getting the run around.

Why hasn't this option been taken out of the CP?Is their not a way for me to have back what I paid for?

I just fixed this issue.Just flash a different(i used 512k) bank with x24983(512k) off xbins.Then use AID 4.0 to install x3 eeprom in the apps section.Boot your xbox and if you use XBMC,go to programs-apps-X3eeprom erase.It will reboot,then remove the disc before it loads.Then shut down,change banks back to the X3 and presto,it will boot to the CP!Whoever made this app is a life saver.:)

There's a known bug with X3 3294 and passwords.
Download a non X3 BIOS and flash to your chip (X2 or Evox M8 will do).
download my boot disk:
h t t p://w w w.megaupload.com/?d=8XYSCZNH
follow the instructions within and burn to a disc.
Boot it up and select the option to erase X3 EEPROM.
Once you've done this, reflash with X3 3294 and don't set a password!!
Martin
Downloaded your disk 3 times... all three times the rar asked me for a password... I read your post several times and comments on the file download from megadownloads... nice... your password fix requires a PASSWORD?!?

dude... something's not right with you.

I've no idea what you're doing but I can assure you there's no password on the rar file. I've just redownloaded the file from the link I posted and checked for myself.

There is no way I would password protect something like this and then not publish it anywhere - it's not in my interest to do so.

Check again - I'll await your reply.

You probably want to leave the "mark current thread as read" code where it was originally, but change it to

Code:# Mark current thread as read
mnum,tmpa,tmpa,tmpa,mdate,mreplies = split,yyThreadLine;
mreplies;
&dumplogmnum,mdate,mreplies;

and then change the dumplog subroutine to save the read and save the extra variable.
