bios freezing

hello
I recently bought a pre mod xbox, and when I go to the flash bios and try to flash the bios it freezes, the screen shows normally but I can't select a thing, does anybody know what the problem is ??

check the flash protect is not set to on if you have the X3 chip and the switcher are on the frount of xbox its the bottom switch set it to the left.
If you are going to flash it with x3 bios the switcher should be on on off off off top to bottom. and if you get the bios working DO NOT SET THE PASSWORD IN THE BIOS IT HAS ABUG AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BOOTUP YOUR XBOX

thanks, I got the bios working, but now I can't get any backup disk working

try a diff type of media another brand and how are you making you backup
are you making them into iso files

I guess I can't play my backups because I havn't installed a dashboard yet, so I tryed to connect via FTP using a crossover cable, I was able to do so but I can't copy the files to the HD I keep getting this error and after that the file won't copy , does anybody know what I have to do now ?

ok get your hands on auto installer delux dvd or the slayer evox installer you can find them at #xbins or off bittorront site
you just have to put it in to your xbox dvd tray restart xbox then install the dash no ftping and if i was you use flashftp as it a lot easyer to use and if you go to www.xboxscene.com and look in tutorials you wil l find how to use #xbins and ftp flash.

had a look at pic i think you trying to put the file for your c/ drive back in to c/ on your pc its not going to your xbox do it with dvd

thanks I got the ftp working, I used flashFXP instead of cuteftp even though cute ftp is cuter than flashFXP, I was able to install evolutionx and I had 1 out of my 4 backup games working , here is another newbie question, is it possible to loan games from the e drive ?

Yes it is possible...Usually, E drive is use if you haven't upgraded your HDD yet but if you changed or planning to change your HDD, you should put your games and Apps in F or G drive.

use dvd2xbox app it loads the game to e in a games folder

I am poor and I don't have money to upgrade my HDD, how do I load games from the E drive using evolutionx ??

ok you can put one or two games on to standed H/D get your hands on dvd2xbox app try xbins site and ones you install it to your apps folder and run it from xbox it will ask you where to put the games.

thanks, I was able o get all my games working , the problem was nero I guess because all the ones that I burned with dvddecrypter worked
