What files from the bios rar did you use? Only use the 1024kb BIN file. Try this on -off,on,off,off. Save it to hdd then reflash bank one from your hdd. Then you will have it on both 1mb banks which you can then change one to 3108 or whatever.
You should have used bios version v16 plus for use with your version 1.6 xbox. Make sure you did that. Can also try downloading an older bios. 3093 or 3108 I think are probably more suitable at the moment because people are having some bugs with the new ones. That's all good if you know what your doing and can work around it...but for newbies i'd go an older bios.
