Alright I have the chip in right. I KNOW this for a fact. I loaded the BIOS, but when i turn it back on it either has a blank screen, or turns off. once it continued to turn on and off about three times and the colors arount the eject button were red green etc. so please help if you can. ALSO is there any way to delete a BIOS without haveing a functional BIOS? thanks :D

You need to supply more information about your problem for suggestions...
such as:
Xbox version, bios you tried to flash, the filename of the bios, flashing method,
switch settings and if your backup bios still works.

You need a bios to have a functional xbox.

Very well, My xbox version is 1.0. the origonal, and of course the chip is the X3 CE. I used two when the first failed. i used the 1959 X3 (obsolete) that was more or less the back up. The first one that i used is the 3294 its the one that screwed up in the first place. now that i have tampered with the thing without the cover i have a few interesting discoveries. i completely disabled the external switchs. And made sure that the chip itselfe said that it was unprotected against flashes (i think, its supposed to be be green right, ill also be checking the installation again after this post) but its still on ROM read only, and it will say stopping unkown flashing etc as it is expected to when its protected. BUT when i flip the switch it truns red and ALLOWS me to flash. but when i turn it on it either continues with a blank screen or shuts off then on then on then off and on again but then it flashes red green red green etc sometimes it will just stay off. I did manage to get a 256k 'backup' of the original courtosy of some version of Evo X. And also when I try to turn off the chip (hold the power button) it beeps and shuts down. I beleve this to be some sort of hard ware malfunction. or perhaps solering. But Ive gone over everything. My soldering skills suck but its still where its supposed to be. and on the chip itself where the prongs come through i think there may be a few empty slots on the top half not bottom half. and for saftey precautions i solderd the top half. thats when it started working well. that about sums it all up.

That was all over the place..
Sorry, I didn't quite get all of that... Some of it didn't make much sense to me.

Do you have the power/eject adapter and are you able to access the backup bios by pressing both power+eject? You should get FlashBIOS 3.0.1.

The chip should have 2 blue leds and red/green light. Flash protect is mislabelled on some chips and red means the protect is disabled. It should be disabled on both the chip and switch for flashing.

The switch setting should either be: ON ON OFF OFF (Flash Protect OFF)

well thats the whole thing. it is like that. when i turn it on with the new bios flashed it just turns off with a beeping noise. there are occasions in which it will turn on off on off on then the led flashes green and red continuously.

in other words it flashes fine. the bar on screen turns yellow then green and shuts down. but then it just turns off again. that any better. im trying my best to explain a complicated situation. The eject seems to be fine. and all the lights are fine too. got any ideas?

??? Sorry been busy. What file are you flashing? It should be the X3_3294.bin file
not the X3_3294_v16plus which is for Xbox version 1.6

Also how are you turning it on? and what are the switch settings when you do this?

All the information i'm getting is, I flash it and turn it on and it does not work.
If you are able to flash, the install should be correct. If it fails after flashing, the bios you flashed could be incorrect. If it is a blank screen, check pin 13+14.
