BIOS loads Microsoft dashboard...help please

I had the xecuter 3 working fine for about a day and then I tried flashing a different bios into slot 5-8. It didn't work so I tried putting it on 1-4. The XBOX splash screen says "XECUTER ROX MY BOX", but then it simply loads the ms dashboard with memory, music, xbox live, settings. How can I fix?? I also can't find flashbios on any of the slots...Am I ****ed?

EDIT:I remembered the only slot I hadn't tried flashing was slot 6 and thankfully flashbios was working and I was able to get x3 bios working again. Is there any safe way to flash a different bios onto slots 5-8? X3 bios flash doesn't seem to work properly for me but flashbios does fine.

are you sure you installed other dashboards besides MS? This is what I think might happened. You may have installed other dashboards on F partition or something like that and when you install other bioses, the default is to look for dashboard on C partition instead of the F partition or whatever partition you placed your other dashboard at.

You are not totalled f*cked yet. You can get on backup flashbios by pressing both power and eject buttons at the same time. From there you can configure your switches and flash (of course you can configure the switches prior to getting on backup bios)

My backup rom seems not to be working...I press both buttons at same time. Sometimes the xbox beeps and shuts down. Other times it loads up and the tray opens a few seconds later. I tried reflashing the backup rom to flashbios 3.0.3 via network. Do I have to rename the file from flashbios_v303.bin to bios.bin before I flash it. Thx.

don't think you can reflash backup bios any other way except through x3 config live.
