BIOS making games freeze

I just put on the 3029 BIOS and it's making my games lock-up, no big deal so I went back to the trusty 1959 BIOS, and now that one is locking games up... Not sure what the hell is going on but it's getting annoying

then it obviously isn't the BIOS is it?

maybe try cleaning the cache drives on your xbox. if that doesn't help, check free space on drive E:\. if still no go, maybe your hdd is overheating??

Have you installed a new dash lately?
Have you played around with IGR (in game reset) setttings in either the dash or the X3CL?

You know my modchip does something like that but my is probably worse. It doesn't lock up. It erased my hardrive and now it doesn't load my x3 bios.

So after I load a new BIOS on, and it locked up the games, it's not the BIOS. Explain that one.

Well the old BIOS is running fine now and I haven't had any problems with that. Tempted to try the new one again. Also, theHDD isn't overheating, after playing its at 119 F. I'll look into the clearing the cache.
