I just recieved my programmer and hooked it up IAW the tutorial. I'm stuck at X2 Bios Manager detecting my chip. I have everything hooked up properly and I have all lights illuminated. I do not know how to set up my LTP ports to detect the chip. I am using the 2.1 manager and I have a Dell 8400. I just can't get the chip detected through the seriel port. Anyone know how to on a Dell?

Try version 2.3 of Bios Manager. I take it you have the switches plugged into the chip as well?

Yes I have the switches plugged in. I am currently searching for V2.3 someplace else cause in the download section when I click download it opens another page full of gibberish.

OK I have X2 Bios Manager V2.3. I'm still not detecting the chip. I'm not sure how to set up my computer seriel port.

Not on this planet!
What have you set up, if you can squeeze the parallel port into a serial port you must be the man!

Plug the progger into the parallel port, choose either 378, 278 or 3BC in the LBT port settings of XBMV2.3, just noticed you have a dell, boot to the bios and change the lpt SETTINGS to 378.....

LOL, You know what I mean, haha.

Well I used the easy way out. I just pulled out my old lappy, hooked it all up and the chip was detected right away.

Sometimes I hate Dell computers!
