i think i need some help, i used the modifed flashbios to flash my eeprom again like martin said but where do i go from there? do i just shove the config dvd in and it will run letting my fix the problem?

If your Xbox is now booting, you can use a boot CD with ConfigMagic and a good EEPROM on it.

what i need help with is the booting of the config magic dvd i can get flashbios to load but it comes up with a reading error from my hard drive (likely because it was locked after the bad eeprom flash) if i put it in when flashbios comes up it does not load and if i put any other bios on and switch banks it either gets stuck on the first screen and eject flashes red or it frags (restarts 3 times) then flashes red. i will keep on trying buy think i need some hep on this one.

If the EEPROM flash has been successful, you should be able to use a boot CD and an unlocked HDD to get to some kind of operating status.
If the HDD was locked previously and you don't have a backup of the original EEPROM, it's toast. If you have a backup, you'll need to use a blank HDD for now, just until you get this working.

so could i just use my pc hard drive for the moment with all the microsoft dash files on it to get it running then ftp my xbox to get the backup files from the original eeprom?

update: i managed to get cromwell on my xbox but when i try to unlock it gets error 4, so i will try and unlock from pc as i now have the hdd password which cromwell gave me.
woohoo i fixed my xbox!!! thanks to every one who helped its good to know theres people like you out there helping us noobs

if any one else has a problem like me and trashed thier box with thier eeprom just do what i did and buy a programmer, get the tool from here

sadly i think ive found out i was supplied with a faulty eeprom in the first place and had nothing to do with me, even though i have finally got my xbox back i think it has broken my 120gig hd i was running of as ive only managed to ressurect my original 10 gig, ill try and fix it using the tools i used to fix my 10 gig but i dont believe you can do much when its locked. but is there anyway to totaly wipe it and start over even with it locked?

While it's locked, nothing can touch it. It needs to be unlocked.

ill try and fix my hard drive later but first i need to know why when i update my eeprom with the right settings (i edited it to be a 1.6 xbox and europe settings on my pc with liveinfo) i then turn it off and on again and i have no audio/video when i start my latest xecuter bios and to get it back i have to load flashbios 3.03 and chose to flash with i 1.6 eeprom?
update: just found out that the reason it doesnt work is because i need a 1.6 eeprom as i cant change a 1.x eeprom to a 1.6 now i have 2 unwanted eeproms, so i want to sell them what kind of price should i sell them as (in GBP)?
