Read the password screen and your answer will appear.

I think it is press Y to accept.

I maybe wrong. For I have never used the password before, but all other settings in x3cl are "X" to delete and "Y" to accept.

You need to load an X2 bios then (using EvoX) FTP the eeprom eraser tool in the old folder on xbins and erase it. Then boot the X3 bios and redo your settings.

Hitachi 5K320-250 xbox hard drive from ebay

I bought a 250 gb hdd from ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/Slim-Internal-Hdd-Hard-Drive-Bes-250gb-250-gb-Xbox-360-/270701939561?pt=Video_Games_Accessories&hash=item3f0717cb69

I took it apart and found out it was a Hitachi 5K320-250, I thought The western digital drives were the only ones that could be flashed with xbox firmware? Any insight into this would be great.

it's a legit MS HD then, I have flashed a few 250gb hds for the xbox and it has a hitachi model number in the hddss.bin file.

Technically any drive can be flashed I believe. it's just the programmers of hddhackr wrote it for WD drives. They probably just had no desire to write other versions for other drives. However the Chinese may have done this for hitachi drives. Or maybe they found another way.

Technically it is possible but knowledge is global now and anything one country has the rest of the world has so I think that the hard drives that comes from china are actually bought from hitachi/microsoft factory and sold on the open market...Only reasonable explanation to me.
