I tried to flash my chip with m8 bios and it appeared as if it installed corectley ,but now when I turn on my xbox it goes on, then off, then on, then off, then on again then the power led flashes green and red and the screen is blank. And when I switch to bank 2 it goes to flash bios. Is there a way to get flash bios back on bank 1 to reflash it? Or maybe some way to fix it?

You can still use the FlashBIOS that is on bank 2. FlashBIOS always starts writing on bank 1, regardless of which bank you booted FlashBIOS from.

Did you flash just the 256KB M8 BIOS? If so this is likely a problem. While FlashBIOS will accept 256KB files for flashing you must have a 512KB file to fill the entire bank. If you don't do this the bank will not boot. While you can use X2 BIOS Manager (in the downloads area) to create a 512KB or even 1MB file, I would instead advise that you look into the X2CL 5035 BIOS. This is the most current Team Xecuter BIOS for the X2 chips, and honestly it blows the EvoX BIOS out of the water. You can find more info in the X2CL forum. This BIOS is also already 512KB so you could flash it using your current config (FlashBIOS on bank 2) and you should be up and running.

And like bazrich1 suggested, make sure you put the right version of the BIOS on your box. 1.6+ Xboxes need a different version than the 1.0-1.5 boxes. As far as the X2CL BIOS goes the file names make it pretty clear which is which.

Even easier, a tutorial link is right in my sig, below my text here and above in my prior post.

As far as finding Xbox modding tools and apps, xbins is the only place you'll need to look. See it, use it, become one with it.

I believe the location of the BIOS on xbins will be xbox\bios\xecuter\x2\multi-ver\ or something similar. I know for a fact that 5035 is in there, has been for about 5 months now...

For help configuring the X2CL configuration file (x2config.ini, should go on the root of your E or F drive) I recommend the Windows program X2 Config Maker available at http://www.x-projects.org.

can you connect to your box via ftp? and have you used both banks on mod chip?if you are not sure what you are doing with flashing the chips and you want to do more, i suggest getting a programer, easy to use and you can flash and erase as many times as you wish.

as whoopin has said the 5035 is the most reliable bios, thats the one i recommend useing to,you need the 5035 old, have you been in xbins? have you followed insructions? and got the list of bios's with flash fxp? if not read it carefully and follow instructions as given.
hope this helps.

I've got a link to definitions of boot error codes right in my sig. Look up your errors and see if the definitions make sense for your situation.
