bios selecting problems !!!

I have xbv1.4 and a X3 with a dip external switcher

Why i flashed the x3 bios into 1M (1-4) dip switched to [ON ON OFF OFF] and after i reboot the bios, it booted to flash bios not the x3 bios, so i tried different dip switch, found that it can booted at [OFF OFF OFF OFF] (1-8) not the (1-4) ?

im confused the dip switching and bios bank..

anyone help, thanks

which version of the bios were you using 1959?

as the flash bios tutorial say, i used (1-4) [ON ON OFF OFF] to flash 1959, but in X3CL showed the Dip Bank select: 5-8 not (1-4) weird.

Make it more clearly, i flashed flash bios into 1mb (1-4) and x3.2913 into (5-8)
i can switch (1-4) or (5-8) from X3CL, but in dip switch, i set [ON ON OFF OFF] still booted to x3.2913(5-8) not the flash bios (1-4)

I originallly found this when I did a bad flash in one bank and tried to boot to the other bank which wasn't touched and found the same bad flash. I also found this carry over when I F__*k up my video region and lost picture. It did it in both 1 meg. banks. I'm not sure what the cause but I would guess there is some type of bleed over from one bank to the next.

FYI- I am only giving my expirences. This type of problem is way out of my leage.

1MB Bank
Bank 1234: on on off off
Bank 5678: off on off off

I can boot both bios in X3CL, not a bad flash issue, is it the external switch spoiled?
