Bios Update Question...??

Is updating the bios as easy as installing it for the first time? Do I just need to follow the original instructions for flashing the bios? I now have v1957 and want to update to the v1959.... By the way I use ftp to flash... Thanks guys.... I did many searches on bios updating, but only find bios flashing thats it... Just want to know if its the same process...

the easy and only way that i upgrade my bios is to ftp the bios to c:\bios folder and go into x3cl and flash it through the bios tools there. works everytime and is quick and easy.

tried to use dosflash for the samsung firmware still ms28 :S

hey so ive been having loads of trouble

have just tried to flash ixtreme 1.61 to the samsung drive using dosflash and all goes ok buit when i load dosflash again to see what firmare revision is it says ms28 still

shouldnt it show ixtreme firmare?

hope you guys can help

Hacked firmware for samsung drives is based off the ms28 firmware, so, it will report as such, even if spoofed.
So if you have a ms25, spoof the ms28 firmware as ms25 and it will work fine.
If you use jungleflasher, it will autoload and spoof the firmware for you before you write it, providing you have the firmware pack extracted to the firmware dir of jungleflasher.
