I can't seem to get the bios for the X3 to boot up. All lights and connectivity to the X3 seem to be ok. Boots to MS ok by hold the power button. While quickly pressing the power button the blue like on the panel comes on but nothing is displayed on the screen (This is were I should be seeing the Bios Screen come up right)? I have just purchase my xbox and has a manuf. date of 09-11-04 does my chip need to be flashed or should I be looking at something else. I think I have a 1.6v but i'm not 100% sure. Could someone help out this newbee..

Thanks

Hi Billyboy71,
I have same problem and it looks like there could be a bios compatability issue with the 1.6B XBox that it appears you and i have. I have asked whether there is a solution to this and hopefully Team X will come back with some guidance soon.
The suggestion from other members is to get your chip into an earlier revision machine that is already modded and flash the bios with something other than the Craxion bios which appears not to function correctly on the 1.6b.
Be patient and hopefully someone will come up with a resolution that is simpler and more practical.

have either of you read ANYTHING about v1.6b ?

we even created an entitre forum dedicated to just that

we've even been posting about it for the last 2 weeks on our news page

there is nothing we can do for you outside of releasing a new bios to work with v1.6b which we did - however you have to get someone to flash your mod for you to FlashBIOS v3.03

Re: Xbox error code 0102

If anyone looks at this the problem was a single broken trace close to the screw i didnt notice i was able to solder on a wire to complete the gap so future reference a broken trace or two can cause 0102
