I have an Xecuter 3 CE that my friend and I have installed into a 1.1 mobo XBOX using the Xapt3r. This is my first attempt, but he has successfully modded two other boxes using 2.x versions of the Xecuter. All three blue LED's light up and the d0 is seated properly, showing a red LED. We flashed the BIOS to 3294 on 1234. When I restarted, it went into the X3 Config Live automatically with no problems. I prepped the new hard drive and went to bed. The next morning, I restarted it again, never having touched the dip switches and it went directly to an XBOX error message 13 twice. The third restart, and every one since, has allowed me to get to the "X3 rox my box" screen, but will not allow me to enter X3 Config Live via holding down the white button at bootup.
When we start the box in 1234 by pressing both power and eject, it takes us to the FlashBIOS 3.01 menu and doesn't recognize the BIOS version. When we startup in 5678 using the same method, it goes to the FlashBios 3.03 menu. It's my understanding that you can't flash the 3294 BIOS over FlashBIOS 3.01, though that is exactly what every bit of documentation has told us to do (flash to 1234). Should we be utilizing the 1.6 trick of starting in 5678, then switching to 1234 hot, then re-flashing? We're confused as hell. One way or another, we've never been able to get back to the X3 Config Live screen after flashing BIOS v.3294 to 1234. Anyone have any ideas?
