you have brought you 2.6 ce. It comes preflashed with Flashbios. Flashbios is what allows you to download a full hacked bios to your chip. What you are trying to download from the Xecuter site is flashbios - which is already on your chip, so will not do you any good. By the way it's not you - the download for that bios is not working properly.
What you need to download is a bios called Xecuter 2 5035 and is availible from a place called xbins.

be careful when flashing the bios as there are two versions of the bios. One for version 1.0 - 1.5 xbox's and one for version 1.6/1.6b xbox's. make sure you know what xbox version you have and flash the correct one.

i'm using a philips dvd player and i burn bios on a sony rw cd.
But when i start my Xbox and launch "load bios from disc" it says : no bios update found ... halting.

well actually your site should do its homework, I followed the tut on this site and it mentioned nothing about 2 sites....digthebox said:

The xbins link provided does not tell you either of the servers. But it does tell you that when you get the /msg reply (step 6) that the data is IMPORTANT (caps and bold copied from the tut) and that you should read all of it. (underline not copied.) So where you got your username and password was right where it told you the server. The reason this is not in the tut is because this could potentially change, and the IRC bot would have the most current information.
