what is the difference between using the flashbios i get from team xecuter or the one i get from xbins

Taken directly from the "Flashbios Tutorial" in the quick help section:

e. FlashBIOS is a utility to update your modchip with any other bios. You cannot play games or run unsigned software with this bios. If
you want to run unsigned software you must download a hacked bios like X3 Bios, X2 Bios or Evox Bios. These are illegal and we do
not provide direct links.

Flashbios is just a means to get another BIOS onto your chip. It has no other functionality.

You will need a copy of the latest BIOS from the "other" site to have any sort of fun that goes beyond "oooooh. look at the blue screen. see how it say flashbios. if I go up and down on the thumbstick the menu options change. sweeeeet." Might be fun for stoners, but not much good for gaming

Flashbios is legal bios so if you get it from xecuter or xbins, they most likely are the same. On the other hand, if you are talking about hacked bios released by xecuter, then the difference is hacked bios is illegal bios which is designed to get the full potential of X3.

Main function of flashbios is just to flash your chip to other bioses, including hacked bioses. It does nothing else besides lock and unlock hd.

just curious.... why did they make the flashbis capable of locking and unlocking the hd?
